TUL, one of the largest academic centres in Poland, founded in 1945, has a strong tradition of engineering education and is well known worldwide for its achievements in research, education and int'l co-operation. Among TUL's remarkable achievements is the establishment of the International Faculty of Engineering (IFE) in 1992, which is to a large extent a result of extremely successful collaboration of foreign universities with Polish academics.
