If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? To leave with other students. In my residence I had a single room, but it was not so easy to meet people.
Personal comments:
UCA doesn't have pleces for international students, even if the Iternational office will provide you assistence to find one.

Cafe Tortoni. Amerika(even if this is a weird disco). Liquido. And so on... You have a 1000 place to hang out in Buenos Aires....

When I got Buenos Aires I had just a basic knowledge of Spanish... fortunally Italian and Spanish are not so different... and even more in Argentina an half of population can understand and even speak Italian... People is very kind and very patient... they try to understand you...

The social life is more demanding abroad, so it was more common for me to go out and spend money.
Travel, Nightlife: was more expensive than at home.

Take out a set amount of funds each week and try to not spend any more than that.
