Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
That the host family was so expensive. In my opinion:
I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
The majority of courses at the Catolica are not very good. If I were to return, I would either find another university, or decide to study on my own. FINAL COMMENTS
Try to make friends. It is the only way to learn about ecuadorian culture and to improve your spanish. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Make the best of it because it flies by. Travel, volunteer, work, and travel some more because you may never be back this way again. In my opinion:
I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Pick your courses as best you can and then try to learn in them and, more importantly, learn from your life abroad. FINAL COMMENTS

How La Catolica would refuse me access to many services (ie, sport and social facilities, computer facilities, evenb being refused a student card!) simply because I was an 'independent' student and not an 'official' intercambio student. Stay home.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Ifr you're an 'independent' student (not on an official intercambio programme - do NOT attend this university. They'll discriminate against you!! FINAL COMMENTS
Make sure you know ALL the facts before you enrol in a foreign university (my biggest mistake!). I would like to say that in spite of my many difficulties at La Catolica, the majority of the tutors and students were friendly and helpful. I wished I would have researched to find out more "mini-trips" I could have taken. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!

Personal recommendation:
Keep on doing what they are doing. Before going I did visit La Sanfrancisco but was not satisfied at all. They were so unorganized. I could tell La Cato really cared about me. FINAL COMMENTS
Enjoy your stay as much as you can. Experience new things and look at the positive things when traveling not he negative. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
