Why? Living in the "ghetto" was a great experience. You are fairly close to campus and you have the opportunity to meet a lot of students.
Personal comments:
In general, the university residences are good. West Campus is about a 10 minute walk from main campus, but other than that all of the rez's are very close. However, as an international student it is best to search the International Housing website and find new and interesting housemates. The people that live in rezs are mainly first year students and there is not a lot of diversity within that group. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Type of housing: Student Co-operative Housing Association
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Student Co-operative Housing Association
Why? It gave you the opportunity to meet such a wide variety of people from all over the world.
Personal comments:
The co-op was an ideal place for an exchange student to live, as it gave you an instant social circle and plenty of support. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly and it felt just like a home away from home. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal comments:
As an exchange student I was really lucky to get a room in Harkness, it is a perfect housing for a 4 month exchange even if it's a little expensive. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Why? It's more quiet. The are a lot of parties going on during the day and night in almost all residences, especially Vic Hall and Leonard). You'll get sick of caf food after a while!
Personal comments:
The residences are not bad at all, it's also a good way to meet people. However residences can get pretty loud and dirty. So it's almost impossible to study or have a rest in your room. It is better to stay in the ghetto. It costs about the same...maybe a bit less. This way you are still on the campus but in a quiet place where you can study. Plus you get to cook your own food, which is cheaper and better than caf food. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
