Unless you are really up-to-speed with your French, it'll be hard to get to know the French students... although I didn't really make as much of an effort as maybe I should have...

I wish I had known...

Don't stress! The prof.'s are very understanding and will take the time if you ask them - just don't be afraid!

In my opinion:

I took the Programme International, and maybe I had luck of the draw, but all the people in my course were interesting, the staff were excellent, the administration wasn't too difficult and the classes interesting and NOT too work heavy... VERY GOOD!

To take part in class discussions, if the majority of students are french, you really need to know your stuff - slang, abbreviations, regional accents - you name it!
