travel! it's so cheap even to go abroad if you take the bus (train is not expensive either). health: you should go to an international hospital and be insured. Read Review

Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? The dorms were being renovated and newer ones looked great.
Personal comments:
It was typical college dorm living, but in Russia. It is not America and they have a different set of rules. Some students couldn't figure this out.

EXPENSES
by Nenad, European Business School London, London, United Kingdom
Business Studies, Erasmus
The accessibility of student needs
Second-hand text books
KEY:
Very easy.
Minimal effort.
Accessible but required effort.
Almost impossible.
Second-hand household items
Computers / Internet
Administrative
Money from home
Main source of funding:
Family
Other sources of funding:
Personal savings
Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options
Personal spending habits:
The mentioned categories are cheaper than in the UK. Travelling around the city is very cheap, trains are also cheaper if you want to go to Moscow, but the rest, such as flights, are the same! HOusing is cheaper, but also depends on the quality you are looking for. NIghtlife is not cheap, but deffinitely cheaper than in the UK. Food is very bad quality, but not cheap.
Food: was the same price as at home.
Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Organize your costs. Take two weeks as a test period. The main expences are on food and nightlife. Forget about shopping; it is a rip off for brands, and the rest is russain domestic production!

Important to choosing this university...
Academic reasons
KEY:
Very Important.
Important.
Not really important.
Unimportant.
Culture

Activities
Campus life
Party / people
Weather / Location
I wish I had known...
That the program was better suited to persons wanting a cultural experience. I had wanted intense language study, but I fully enjoyed the program, the hosts from Georgia, and all my fellow students.
In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!

During my experience abroad, I ...
Became familiar with another culture
KEY:
Happened all the time.
Happened quite a lot.
Happened a bit.
Didn't happen.
Traveled
Improved language skills
Met people from other countries
Became more independent
Partied a lot
Experienced a change in life
Advanced my studies/career
Personal recommendation:
Once again, great for the cultural experience. But if you want intense language studies look to other opportunities.

FINAL COMMENTS

This was a very well organized program. The host teacher from Georgia is a native of St. Pete and went out of her way to find and schedule unknown events for us. Such as horseback riding, and tickets to Paul McCartney at the Winter Palace. This program is done in June during "White Nights" celebration and she takes full advantage of it.
