HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Even though the house was old and dirty and was nice to be together with the whole Erasmus group all the time. So you never felt alone and had the opportunity to meet lots of people.
Personal comments:
It's good that the accomodation is so nearby to the University and that you stay together with so many people, but the warden is always grumpy and doesn't do her work as well as she should. And it's the same with the cleaning staff - it never really works. The House needs some new showers, too ( cause there are none at all by now and people have to go over to University for taking a shower). But all in all I would say that we had a great time in this accomodation. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my English How much did you improve your English?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
It was not easy in the beginning because of the strong accent they have in Belfast. So I needed a few weeks to find out about that. But after that it was no problem any more and I think I improved my English a lot. I had no major problems with communicating with the local students or other foreign students. Main source of funding:
Family Other sources of funding:
Personal savings An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
Personal spending habits:
It's just because everything is more expensive there. It doesn't matter what. Food, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Travel, Housing: was the same price as at home.
Personal comments:
Find the Lidl. It's much cheaper there and by the clothes on sales only ( or at Primark). This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
Usually they say that it's very cold and rainy in Ireland, but that's not true. So you don't need your warmest and biggest jumpers there. Sometimes it van be really warm and nice. So bring some shirts, too ( and a few short skirts and tops for going out). In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
The University with all it's people, professors, Secretarys and others is really great. They are all nice and help you in any way. You will miss them when you go home. FINAL COMMENTS
If you ever go to Belfast, I would recommend to travel around the whole Island. The most beautiful places are in the south west though. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
