HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: With a family
Why? It gives me the chance to learn more and interact with locals.
Personal comments:
Facilities need to be upgraded especially in the area of internet connectivity. The external environment needs to be spruce up as well especially the lighting at night. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Activities, Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
The bierstube at olympia dorf is a nice place to have dinner, hangout with CHEAP beer. Cafe Muenchner Freiheit is an excellent place for ice-cream and people watching. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Was learning German a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my German How much did you improve your German?
My level before: Did not speak it My level after: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) Personal comments:
Basic German is a definite must to survive there. It is quite interesting to talk to locals and to find out their special customs. When I speak German to locals, they are pretty impressed with me and they are more friendly. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
The cost of living in Munich and also that people can't really speak English very well. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Great location. Campus is right in the city centre. Excellent professors and great students. FINAL COMMENTS
It pays to apply for accommodation EARLY in advance. The accommodation problem in Munich is very serious and if you go there without any accommodation, you might have to pay a lot for last minute accommodation. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
