Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? If one compare to student "kollegiet" or family houses as offered by the university of Aarhus, there are more place than family houses and more privacy than in Kollegiet (10 students usually share one common commodity room) in appartments (usually owned by students abroad). Obviously, there are exceptions to this statement.
Personal comments:
One Danish people's specificity is the cleanliness. You won't have bad surprise when you'll discover you're accomodation. Another positive point to concede to Danish is their organisation. Nearly everything is already planned (sometimes too many things!), and consequently, a lot of paper comes out of any modification of your "administrative" status. The drawback of it is slowliness... Type of housing: Kollegium--each has own room in hall/share kitchen
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: kollegium
Why? It's a great cultural experience to live with other Danish and international students. While I had my own room and and restroom, 14 of us shared a kitchen. It is an ideal environment to learn everyday Danish language and customs.
Personal comments:
The Aarhus School of Business in Denmark had a wonderful international exchange program. The International counselors planned numerous events for the students which enhanced our cultural experience. Special tours and classes were offered to the international exchange students. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Because you have a greater contact with people either from the host country or other international students.
Personal comments:
It was very efficent, all the people on the housing programme had a good place to stay from the beginning to the end of the school year. The only thing I would complain about is to have the opportunity to, in someway, choose the place to stay since I could perceive big differences on the cost, this would allow students to administrate better their budget due to the Denmark high cost of living. Type of housing: Kollegiet or Kollegium
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Kollegium near the center or the school
Why? Because, the actual one it's too far from the school and downtown. Howewer, it is ok.
Personal comments:
It is good idea that they look for accomodation for Exchange Students that are not from the Scandinavian Countries. U will like your accomodation according to the place u will get, and this is pure chance whether u get a good one. As far as I am concerned, accomodation at ASB is pretty good : U r not leaving alone! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Why? Because of the enviroment. You live with students as you and you can share a lot of things.
Personal comments:
It was quite good. Maybe a bit far from University because I had to get a bus that it takes half an hour in arriving. This is not the bad thing, but it was not so good when it snowed. Apart from that I was very happy. I had got used to that live very fast. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Why? If I were not to be a student anymore, I would like to have my own space.
Personal comments:
If you do notmind living in the outskirts of the city, then university accomodation is perfect. However, if you wish to live more towards the centre, you should search private accomodation, which in general is more expensive. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? This type of housing provides the most libertarian way of living with almost no rules by an authority.
Personal comments:
Housing is precisely determined by the host university. It is hard to reason the allocation process since there are different type of locations and appartment types some of which are advantageous. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Type of housing: student dormitory outside campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: same as above
Why? The facilities are great, the location is fantastic, and most important of all, the people couldnt have been better.
Personal comments:
Living in an all Danish dormitory is indeed one of the biggest challenges in my stay in Denmark. While the Danes are very good in their English, they tend to speak Danish all the time, and I, being the only exchange student, makes it seem so hard to communicate with them at first. Well, things turn out much better than I expected and right now, I have already integrated into this small "family" in my dorm. They really make me feel so welcomed and in fact, the lanuguage barrier does not seem as strong as it started out with. Perhaps, my Danish course in school helps a little. But the opportunity to know the locals is certainly a fantastic experience for me. It can be quite hard for any exchange student, living alone with 12 other Danish students. But fortunately for me, the cultural differences are easily dissolved and I can confidently say that I have made a quick adjustment to my life in Denmark.
