Everyone was really great in helping me learn. Even the natives in the neighborhood I lived in assisted me with my verbs, pronunciation, and overall language skills.

There is so much more to do!! I went out much more often then at home because it was the way to see everything and meet new people. Telephone is more expensive because you have to pay for every call you make - there are no included minutes like in the US. Travel was less expensive because of the rail system and youth hostels.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
To live in a neighborhood with the rest of the community was the best thing that I could have done. I got the true experience of what it was like to live in a Roman community.

I really enjoyed the way it was set up. They put everyone in individual apartments which you shared with others attending the school. It was really nice.

I loved Campo di Fiori - Drunkin Ship and Sloppy Sams!! Also, Trinity College Pub by Via Vento. The first time I drove past the Vatican and St. Peter's at night I burst into tears, it was so beautiful. The small restaurants were the best - intimate, amazing food, and affordable. I lived in Monteverde, which was amazing because you werent overwhelmed with tourists. I love Rome!
