There are plenty of places to discover. Hard to list one in particular. I particularly loved Ruissalo (a sauna place on the sea) on week-ends

Personal comments
The language of instruction in Finland was English. I have always been able to speak English quite well so never had problems with it. However, in Turku there are two dominant spoken languages: Finnish and Swedish. I loved Finnish but did not have many opportunities to learn it properly although I could manage with the daily situations/experience.

Personal recommendation
I think it's a lively University with a lot to offer. In particular it is interesting to discover the Finnish culture, which has become, since then, one of my favourite ones.
