I spent less during my stay in kenya because of the strong value of the dollar $1= 50-80Shillings. This enabled me to live like a Queen and afford to do things that I couldn't afford to do in the US. Travel: was the same price as at home. Food, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
I would not recommned changing any significant amount of dollars to shillings in advanced. With the flucuating market it may more profitable to exchange on an an needed basis. Also, get some one (local that is trustworthy) to exchange your money on the black market. You will receive a higher return. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
