HOUSING
by Jennifer, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, Canada
Communication and Information Sciences, Independent
Personal assessment
Type of housing: With a family
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I'd have my own privacy instead of with family members.
Personal comments:
It wasn't too appealing. The rooms were small, bunk beds, looked more like a camp. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Personal comments:
There was no language barrier however most international students did tend to socialize with others from their home country. Other than that, the student and teacher population was mostly friendly and receptive. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
That I needed to save a lot of money. In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
The campus didn't look like a regular campus of concrete buildings, there were some that looked like temporary trailers. The facilities need an upgrade. FINAL COMMENTS
It is expensive attending this school because it is a private college. I would definitely recommend saving up and researching beforehand the areas of where to live especially when the commute can take long due to traffic. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
