Final comments
There is a lot of petty theft in Madrid, so one must be careful. The nightlife is fun if you are able to stay out until the morning hours. The people are friendly and hospitable and it was an overall wonderful experience.

Having had prior experience in Spanish, I felt comfortable using the language and only ran into the occasional difficulty in the classroom which was resolved with a dictionary at my side.
