Alonzo Martinez and Bilbao. and of course, Sol for nightlife. places not to be missed teh Retiro park on a sunday afternoon, Gran Via and the wonderful plazas.

there are evaluations that are available that are very helpful i nchoosing classes. but lots of teachers open to having foreigners in their class.

I already had an extensive knowledge of spanish so it is hard to see a real progression. however, i have learned more local madrileño slang and mannerisms as well as more confidence when i speak.

There is so much to do in Madrid alone. and then all of spain and europe. it costs alot to do things.
Travel, Nightlife, Overall: was more expensive than at home.
Telephone: was the same price as at home.
Food, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Don´t spend alot of time in sol. things cost more. there is alot of tourism here so the price differences are tremendous. you can get things cheaper off the beaten path...it justs takes effort.
