Found that life outside university became more important, difficult to integrate in university. Madrid was great though, amke the most of all opportunities, not just those present at university.

enjoy madrid, meet as many new people as you can, get stuck in. beware of spanish banks. Go to Cadiz

food cheaper, telephone-phoning home, travel-trains reasonably expensive, nightlife- went out more, some places cheaper some more expensive, housing- cheaper but had to pay for twelve months up front
