HOUSING
by Laura, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom
Language, Erasmus
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Because living with other students in the city was a far better option than living near the university. Living centrally allowed for greater independence.
Personal comments:
The is accomodation provided by the univeristy on campus but it was very very expensive. I also did not chose private accomodation in Villaviciosa where the university is due to it being about 40 mins by bus from Madrid. The town felt very isolated so I much preferred living in Madrid and travelling out to the university. There was no student community sense in the village.
