That it takes a while to get to know a big city like Bs As and that it's always a bit difficult at first and that the Argentinian Spanish was so difficult and different.

Personal recommendation:
I think Belgrano has some good courses but do try a few before you decide so that you'll have a good academic experience. The social aspect is excellent: the university organised parties, free tango lessons etc, really made you feel at home and was always there if you needed to ask about something.



FINAL COMMENTS

Get to know the locals, explore the city because it's got many 'hidden treasures' and also take the opportunity to see the rest of the country (eg Mendoza, Salta, Cataratas de Iguazú, Bariloche, Puerto Madryn etc) and the rest of the region (eg Peru, Chile and Brazil, which are all fantastic!).

It has a very nice and familiar atmosphere, you will definitively like it there.



FINAL COMMENTS

Buenos Aires is one of the world´s most interesting and lively cities. There are so many things to do, there´s always something opened and there are so many places to go to and things to explore that your can´t stay there long enough. if you stay there for a longer time and have the possibility to travel, please DO SO, it´s an amazing experience!! you won´t be able to belief what you can see there because it´s so fascinating the country, there are so many incredible places that you really can´t travel enough.

I do recommend the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires. It´s a prestigious study place and the teachers are very professional people.



FINAL COMMENTS

You better go to travel around the country. Just near to Buenos Aires you find "El tigre" then you can take a tour by the river (la plata), go and see the soccer games at "la bombonera" and "el monumental". Just four hours driving from Buenos Aires you´ll find Mar del Plata town with beautifull beaches and the Atlantic Ocean. You´ll have lots of fun there.

Not to pay in USD. But this was very particular of the situation in 2002.

carefully choose courses. Talk with the teachers.

The cheapest travel agency is ASATEJ, they have nice packages. It's a student travel agency. Be careful while crossing roads or driving, Argentinians drive like maniacs!!

act carefully : a lot of people are without money nor job so the situation is quite dangerous but the trip is worthwhile

Go there to have a blast! And be ready to enjoy everything. Try and do everything you can, trips, activities, visits... Just live 100%.
