There are a lot of places to go out in Cadiz. The most favourite bar at the beginning is of course "Nahu" and the discos near to the port. When you get to know the city, you will find a lot of bars and restaurants where you can spend your time and enjoy your stay in Cadiz (Bars: Umec, Timbre, Excalibur; Tapas Bars: Gotinga, Garbanzo Negro, Montaneros, 100 Montaditos, El refugio...)

Languages
Language of instruction: Spanish
Was learning Spanish a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't.
How much did you improve your Spanish?
My level before: Basic phrases
My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang)
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
I chosed Spain, because I wanted to learn Spanish. Only from the courses of my university in Viena I never had learned that much. You can only learn a language when you live in that country. You learn how to use phrases, words of the daily live, the slang of the streets and many more things. For me it was very important to go to Spain and I am sure I will go to other countries as well.

Academic
Course recommendations
The courses that I chosed can not be compared with courses in Vienna. Of course I chosed easier courses according to former Erasmus students in Cadiz, but in general I can say that the academic level is lower than in Austria

I had to learn by heart for the exams at the end. This kind of studying is not the nivel a university should have. I would have prefered other kinds of exams, especially of courses of the last study-year
