HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: With a family
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I really enjoyed my experience living with a family, and was able to learn much more than students who lived in the residencias, however, at this point in my life I would rather live with Spanish or other International roommates of my own age and interests.
Personal comments:
My host family was extremely kind, warm, and generous. I could not have asked for better accomadations. They treated me like part of the family and I had my own room and everything. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
We often went to Zona 10 in la punta and sometimes to Sala 7. We also like Miramba...other fun things were of course el botellon in the Plaza de Mina in the winter and 'por la playa' in the summer. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: Spanish
Was learning Spanish a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Spanish How much did you improve your Spanish?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
I was able to have classes taught only in Spanish and be surrounded by Spanish at all times in the day. It was easy to communicate with people after I had been there for a while. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
I wish I had known not to ship my clothing before I had left via boat. It took forever. Should have shipped by air. In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
If you want to live in a small city with a good amount to do this is a great place to choose. It was on the smallish side for me, but the beaches were great. FINAL COMMENTS
I had a great time studying abroad and learned an incredible amount about Spanish culture and my language skills improved ten fold. I think it is the only way to truly know a language. Take advantage of travelling...it's a great adventure. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
