La Universidad de Córdoba, fundada en 1972, es una Universidad joven, pero que recoge experiencias como la de la Universidad Libre que funcionó entre 1870 y 1874. Es un campus moderno, en plena expansión, que ha emprendido un ambicioso proyecto, ya muy avanzado, a través del cual se convertirá, a principios del siglo XXI, en uno de los principales complejos de investigación y docencia agroalimentaria y medioambiental de toda Europa.

Why? The flat we rented with 2 other student was very spacious and very cheap. Moreover it was situated in the old part of the center of Cordoba. The place was precious and I experimented the spanish way of living.
Personal comments:
The university was proposing some adresses of flat or house that could be rented. Though, the number of adress was a bit reduced in comparaison with the number of students. But it was not so difficult to find an accomodation because we could read advertisement everywhere in town, in bus stops, on the walls... Why? living with a family provides you with a first hand look at the life and culture that you would be unable to get living with other americans or even with spanish students in a dorm type setting.
Personal comments:
living with a family was great! i'd highly recommend it....if for nothing else then the food was so much better then dorm style food. and you are really and totally emmersed in the culture and forced to speak the language. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Why? Independence, your own spot and right in the center of Cordoba. I don´t mind sharing the appartment with others as long as I don´t have to share my room with a stranger.

Why? Because in this way, you have the opportunity to meet other people than only students

The university had no own campus, but the tutors(Spanish students) helped us to find some appartment. This was very good arranged. Within 1 day I had an appartment which I had to share with two other persons. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Why? Because I will have my indipendence and it's always a good experience to share the life with differents people for compare yourself, learn from them and feel that you can learn and teach at the same time.

Why? I think you have a lot of independence there, you live according to your own rules, and you learn a lot from that.

Why? I would choose to live in my own apartment and share with other Spanish people of my own age so that I could practice the language and make more friends

Why? I was living in the apartment with Spanish person. It gave me oportunity to get to know better Spanish culture

Why? Living with a family is the best experience one can ask for. If you're looking for an authentic experience, the best thing is to live with a family. There is no better way to see how the "natives" live.

Why? I was independant, the apartment was ok, in the center of the town, cheap and comfortable.

The majority had to look for housing on its own, most of them were shared flats in the modern part of the town, much cheaper than mine and not always in a good state. I was lucky, because I was one of the first to arrive. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
