Why? The family I lived with was amazing! They were helpfull, accomodating, clean, nice, they included me as part of the family, yet gave me the space and independece of a university student.

Personal comments:
Dubliners was a great place to have a drink and they made a special effort to create events that allowed the Erasmus kids, the US students, and the locals. Getxo was a great city to escape to by metro. It had the best cafe's and fantastic window shopping.

You can't go wrong at this University! All of the staff are helpfull from the workers in the cafeteria to the senior administrators.

Personal comments:
I had the challenges that any foreigner will face, but everyone was so patient. In the begining I did not even want to answer my cell phone if my house mom was calling, because I knew that I would not understand anything she said, but by the end of one year; I would call her just to see how her day was going and spend some nights with her and her girlfriends while they gossiped the night away!
