Academic
Course recommendations
I think that the courses were more theoretical than in my home university. I would have prefered a more practical perspective in the courses.

Personal comments
In Spain it is essential to speak the local language in order to "survive", both academically and socially. Luckily I had the advantage to speak fluently spanish before I arrived to Granada. I had studied both in Athens for a year and in Valencia in a summer school for two months.

It was very easy to live in Granada without spending a lot of money!! Housing, food and nightlife was cheap, I used the internet for free in my University. The top nightlife cost-saving tip was the free beers!! Coupons for free beer were given to passers-by to the central sports of the city, as a public relations activity!!

Personal comments
The favorite "sport" was going "de tapeo" (beer served with different kinds of snacks). At Elvira street there were many tapas bar (castaneda, elvira, marruecos, antecualla...). I also used to go out for drink (copas). NIght life in Granada is very cheep. Apart from that, I didn't like discotecas, I prefered the activities I already mentioned. I also liked to invite people at home, have fiestas or guitar nights.
