It may look like play-money. IT ISN'T!!! Treat it like real money from the start and you won't have any problems.

Personal comments
I had several years of Spanish instruction in the United States. However, I was not prepared for the accent, especially that of Andalucia. Within a few months, I was speaking very confidently. By the time I left, I was told several times: "You don't speak Spanish. You speak Andaluz!"

I wish I had known...
Again, the accent was very troubling for me at first. I accomodated, but would have preferred to have heard it ahead of time.

The University of Granada is a very well-organized, clean, and fun place to study. There are people from all over the world, all of whom are more than willing to help out in times of need. The general feeling of support is great.

Final comments
Spain is the BEST. It's very low-key, slow-paced, very relaxing. People tend to be late. Basically, have a very open mind when you go. There is a ton of stimulus; breathe it in slowly. Don't rush to do anything. It will happen when it happens. Even if dinner happens to be at midnight.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I lived with Spanish rommates. It allowed me to improve my Spanish very rapidly and embrace the culture much more effectively.
