Final comments
Try to get a tutor ("Patrino"). If you are lucky, you get one which really helps you, like me. Helps you to look for a room, courses, etc. Try to find a room in a shared flat (piso compartido) just with spanish. Hard at the beginning, but you are forced to learn. Stay away from other students from your home country. Make friends with spanish students and from other countries. You won't regret.

The international study experience helped me a lot to improve my Spanish. At the end in everyday situations I was even thought to be Spanish.
