Personal spending habits
My food and accommodation were provided with my scholarship. I spent more on travel and nightlife in the host country simply because I traveled and went out more often than I do at home. Overall it is not expensive to live in Salamanca.

Final comments
One piece of advice is try to spend as much time with people from the host country as possible and avoid people from your home country--you'll learn a lot more that way. I had a wonderful time and wish I could have stayed there longer. By far it was the best year of my life!
