Universidad del País Vasco review by Amber
HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: With a family
Why? I would have liked to of lived with a family rather than American students because I would have gotten more out of the experience both language and culture wise.
Personal comments:
It was not just American students on the trip but also international students from many different countries. It was neat to live with diverse people. The housing was charming but at times could be frustrating when things would break and we couldn't get ahold of a landlord. Other students' apartments differed. Some were nicer than others and some the same. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Definitely don't miss the running of the bulls in Pamplona during July. It is the biggest party you will ever go to in your life. The parte viejo in town has the best food, drinks, and social gatherings. It's a great place to people watch and meet new friends as well. My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
Take as many as you can. You pay for it, so you might as well. Also take advantage of the "intercambio" which is teaming up with a spanish student to practice your spanish and their english. I wish I had done that now because many students got a lot out of meeting them. You practiced your language and you made some Spanish friends.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
Show up for class!!! You will miss so much if you don't. Also, do your homework. It's so easy to get caught up in everything else and lose track of the reason why you're there: to learn!!! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Government assistance Other sources of funding:
Family Personal savings Student Loan Work opportunities:
It was not legal for me to work Personal spending habits:
The dollar was really strong there compared to the peseta. However, you buy twice as much because it is so cheap! Travel, Nightlife, Telephone: was the same price as at home. Food, Overall, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Don't splurge on everything. Save lots of money for shopping because the clothing over there is great and so affordable. remember to budget and you won't spend so much. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
