HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I lived with Portuguese girls and I choose to live right downtown. It was also a good opportunity to be independent and to live by my own compare to a housing in a family.
Personal comments:
I don't really know how living at the university was. There were not many rooms available. The area was very quiet at night. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Activities: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Bairro Alto is the best area to go at night. There are a lot of cafes and restaurants. My favourite bar was "Mezcal". Otherwise, during the summer, the Miradouro(s) are very pleasant. For dancing, the"Doca's" or "Lux" are also good places. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

I choose the University "Nova de Lisboa" in order to improve my English and to learn a new language. I managed to achieve these goals and it motivated me to improve Portuguese. Now I follow a personal course in Brussels. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
An ERASMUS grant Other sources of funding:
Family Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
I spent more because it was the first time I was leaving by my own, not in my family anymore. I had to pay everything. I travelled a lot, and called often my friends in Lisbon and my family. But in general, life was cheaper in Lisbon than in Brussels. Food, Travel, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Nightlife: was the same price as at home.

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
no. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Maybe to organise more activities with the Portuguese students and the Erasmus students. FINAL COMMENTS
Lisbon was a good place to travel and to meet people. Renting a car or taking a bus to go to Algarve or to Alentejo is worth and doesn't cost too much. There are also a lot of places to visit near Lisbon. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
