Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Sharing a house with other foreign Erasmus students was a very good learing experience. Living with other 5 people of different countries teaches one how to approach cultural differences, how to plan and share resources.

I wish I had known...
Before leaving for Porto I had some brief e-mail communication with ex-Erasmus students in Portugal to find out more about accomodation in order to prevent the inconvenience of staying in a hotel during the first week/weeks since the arrival date was the same as the begining of the semester. I did some research concerning the country and University. However I did not try to get too much information since I consideres that dealing with problems on the spot was a more rewarding experience.
