HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? university accomodation is hardly available, expensive and rooms are poorly furnished . . . on the other hand, you probably get to know more people. choose according to personal preferences!!!
Personal comments:
university provided accomodation is far from satisfactory(availability, price, quality); university support for search for private accomodation is available - however they refuse to send you their housing list, therefore you can only use it after your arrival to milan; private offers posted on pinwall at university This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students interact with the local community without much university involvement
Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Activities, Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
milan is a cool place, especially at night; the student network "organises" a party location for each day of the week except monday - so plenty to do. besides there is a huge number of places, from trendy to relaxed, just look around and find your favourite place - a booklet named "02" lists the spots to be(is available in bars and cafes across town) This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal savings An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
nightlife and housing is definitely much more expensive in milan (rents are most expensive in all of europe) - travelled a lot, so spent more on that (train tickets are cheaper than in austria!) Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
life in milan is expensive! buy at supermarkets outside the centre, things are considerably cheaper there This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
get there earlier to attend the language course, otherwise it can be hard to make friends In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
bocconi is known as top university - people there accordingly can be snobbish; on the other hand i could not really detect a difference in course quality to my home university FINAL COMMENTS
at first glance milan might appear greyish and unfriendly. in fact, i found it much different from other italian cities i had been to earlier (florence, rome, . . .). however, you will find out that milan, besides being noisy and stressful can be an extremely interesting place to live. many interesting places are near - i loved the ligurian cost with places like camogli, santa margherita or noli. there is such a lot of beautiful and interesting places in italy, try to see as much of them as possible!
