It is very easy to get around with knowing only English, Dutch is not neccessary for exchange students, but can be useful for full-timers

Life in home-country is generally cheaper then in Holland+ lived with my parents at home/ didn't have some of the expenditures that i have here
Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Eat at home/ drink at home before going out/use books from the library to study/try to find a part-time job

It is a very good university for exchange program, has alot of international students that are open to meet new people, very easy to make friends, the teachers are also easy to contact, they help exchange students during their stay
