You will have fun for sure! Go and be an open-minded person. Meet students, locals, everyone! And keep in touch with your new friends when you leave because you will want to meet them again!

Personal comments
Compared to my University, the course in PAVIA was quite easy and with little interest. I had the best time of my life in Pavia but, I did not learn much. One of my favourites courses was: Economia Regionale but, it was very "italian specific".

Personal comments
The first thing I did when I arrived at Pavia was an italian exam (written and spoken). I was put on a class from the first level. I liked very much my teacher and I had italian lessons during all 6 months. And, as most of the people (locals) did not speak english, I really had to improve my italian! When I left Pavia, I was feeling very confortable with the language.

Personal spending habits
I spent more money mostly on travelling because every weekend I travelled through Italy. On the other hand, I spent less in nightlife because I used to go out much more in Porto than in Pavia. In general, I spent more in food and telephone because the prices are higher in Italy.

I stayed in an apartment with only one room. When I arrived, we were 4 students living there. 3 in the room and the other one in the dining room. The apartment was very small and we had some problems with the neighbors, who where tired of some many foreign people arriving and leaving. Finally, I had to go to the police office because the man who was renting us the apartment was not his owner and wanted to know details from us. It was not easy!
