You can't stay without travelling. The country is the beauty itself. All the different region has its own language, own culture and way of life. That's the Brainstorming of the culture because you learn from everybody. And one thing that you can e sure to find in Italy, that's the social life, everyone talks to everyone in the street. Even if it's just to find your way, you will probably stay a while to discuss with your new friend, who is asking what you are doing tonight, and if you want to... Read Review

HOUSING
Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Because of the independence, you can quietly, and have your own life time without disturbing the others (i share my flat with another girl)
Personal comments:
none

Travel
Overall
Describe host city: Students interact with the local community without much university involvement
Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment
Activities, Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment
Personal comments:
Turin by night, you can't miss "the murazzi" this is a place along the PO (one of the 2 Turin's river) where there is all the best night clubs). There is also "the Quadrilatere" place near piazza della reppublica, famous for his Pub where you can take "aperitivo" for less than 10 Euros. 1 drink and free Lunch.

I someome wants to go in italy for his studies, he has to have good organisationnal skills. Italians call that their "Casino!", a sort of chaos organised. To find what you need, you have to do 2 or 3 differents offices...

Overall
Language of instruction: Italian
Was learning Italian a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Italian
How much did you improve your Italian?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.)
My level after: At ease in most situations
Personal comments:
When i arrived in Italy, it was to refind my roots. My father is italian so it was a great opportunity to know better my familly. So i improved my vocabulary, speaking with us. With other Erasmus (German, Spanish, Ungarian...), evreybody wants to learn Italian, in order to improve their level. And with their foreign accent, the language became easier, so better to learn and remind it.

Personal comments:
Our landlord require us that we pay for the month of July and August. But we won't be here anymore!!! You have to clearly define your contract at the beginning or you could have some surprise!!Italians are like that.By the little door...

Not really important.
Unimportant.
Culture
Costs
Activities
Campus life
Party / people
Weather / Location
I wish I had known...
No because i knew a lot of thing before going. Just one detail we didn't think, the Olympic games. When we arrived in October, all flats were bought for the olympics and nobody wanted rent his flat.
In my opinion:
Most people loved it.

During my experience abroad, I ...
Became familiar with another culture
KEY:
Happened all the time.
Happened quite a lot.
Happened a bit.
Didn't happen.
Traveled
Improved language skills
Met people from other countries
Became more independent
Partied a lot
Experienced a change in life
Advanced my studies/career
Personal recommendation:
The Economics University is the second more popular university in Italy. That means you will improve your knowledge with a good staff, known and appreciated by a lot of company in the world (because of their work experience: FIAT, FERRERO, MARTINI...)
