In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
Whilst Pisa itself is relatively small the unversity has something like 40, 000 students which is an ideal combination because the city is small enough to find your way around in but there are enough people to meet of your own age

During my experience abroad, I ...
(1) Never – (4) A lot
Became familiar with another culture
Met people from other countries
Experienced a change in life
Advanced my studies & career
Final comments
Pisa is a very good base for visiting the rest of Italy. Trains are cheap - especially if you buy a student discount card - so take advantage of it. On a more practical side, be prepared to wait for hours to join a bank, visit the doctor or speak to a lecturer in the first weeks.

Academic
Course recommendations
Courses are generally very flexible, best to speak to the lecturer first and ask if you can do the course also ask if you can study a reduced syllabus

Personal social experience
Personal comments
Night life in Pisa is quiter than what I am used to in England but the main thing to do is to meet as many people as possible and put up with perhaps not so nice bars but very good company

Personal comments
There was no accomadation provided by the university, we were provided with a list with some addresses and numbers which we had to contact ourselves but there was quite a good selection and the landlords/ladies were reputable and helpful
