Though housing is seldom provided by this university, what they offered me was in pretty good shape and otherwise I couldn't have met "deeply" german people!

It has been hard to find a place, but I found a nice one in a students house, it was cheap and I had a very nice experience

Why? I liked it a lot! Even though the student housing was dirty as hell, it was cheap and the parties were great!
