Language difficulties
Language of instruction: German
Was learning German a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Personal comments:
At the beggining I didn't know so much german, but as the University offered some intensive courses before each semester and some courses during the semesters I could learn german grammar and vocabulary. Something that really helped me to improve my german was interacting with other german students, I enrolled on the university choir and I could meet some of my german friends. EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Family Other sources of funding:
Family Personal savings An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I worked, but it was illegal/cash in hand work Personal spending habits:
I took so much care of my economy outside, I could not expect my parents make this big effort without having some consideration with them. The bigger amount was the accommodation. All travels were orginzed by a host-student group which made them really affordable. I didn't spend so much in nightlife, as I don't usually drink alcohol, I just wanted to be with my friends there, not spendind all my money just in a party. Housing: was more expensive than at home. Food, Travel, Overall, Telephone: was the same price as at home. Nightlife: was less expensive than at home.

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
I really enjoy the whole experience outside. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
I think almost everyone who has lived an erasmus experience agrees with the idea of going outside. I think my host university was really well organized to make us feel at home. FINAL COMMENTS
There were a student group which really helped us (international students) to get in touch with the city, the university, the culture and the country. I think they really achieved to make us part of campus life through weekly meetings, excursions and some trips around Germany, it was the best welcome we could have!
