The uni is more focused on IT. Engineering and maths is good. Linguistics too. I didn't notice biology though ...

Mainly just an essay or exam at the end of the semester. Virtually no assessments during the semester. You need to be self-motivated!

I wired my money to Volksbank, which went very smoothly. You can get transport around the city for a semester for about 60EUR when getting the uni id card. If you plan to use train a lot, get a Bahncard 50. remember to say you're a student when you buy this card. use budget airlines too :)

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
The dorms are a stone's throw from campus, shops and sports grounds. Generous sized rooms. Quite modern.

The Vogeliusweg dorms are great! They are big and have more of an 'at home' feel with their design of 4 students to one living area than the Peter-Hille Weg dorms.

There's the weekly Pflaumenbaum pub outing for exchange students. The uni parties are packed out. But Paderborn doesn't have much of a nightlife. But the uni organises tons of activities and trips for exchange students. These trips were the highlights of my stay.
