I wish I had known...
I had a lot of info about St.Gallen before chosing it. Would there be one thing, I might have chosen to arrive one week earlier in order to settle more conveniently and arrange things before the academic semester started.

Don't miss out on the badminton sessions. Furthermore the ski-weekends arranged by the Student Union is fantastic. If you like travelling buy the Gleis7-card, which allows you to travel for free after 19:00 whereever you want to in Switzerland.
