Why? i had an excellent experience living on campus when I was in Stuttgart and therefore would not change it if i was to go back again.
Personal comments:
ALthough it was rather difficult to organise the accomodation, the facilities, the location, the roommates were all excellent.

At first it was difficult to get used to the local dialect of German, but overall I learned so much German and am now nearly fluent.

Personal spending habits:
I live with my parents in Ireland, therefore I was spending more money on accommodation and food costs.
Food, Travel, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Nightlife, Overall: was the same price as at home.
Telephone: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
I would advise getting a visa card as it means you aren't carrying around a lot of money with you and plus your parents can lodge money easily to your account.
