HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Student Hall
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Student Hall
Why? It was exactly what I needed, and I had a great time there!
Personal comments:
If you go through the "ÖAD" (Österreichischer Austauschdienst), it is easy and you have to worry about almost nothing, but then make sure you got enough information about the halls you selected, before sending your preferences on their website (http://www.oead.ac.at). From my experience, "Haus Doebling" is really nice (very well located, cheap, clean and great to meet people from all over the world). STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Activities, Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Bars/Pubs: "1516 Brewering Company" (drink and eat, in the city center, near the Opera), "Fischerbräu" (near the student hall "Haus Doebling"), "Charlie P's Irish Pub" and "Maximilian" near Votiv Kirche and University. Clubs: Flex (alternative, rock), Passage (smart),... There are lots of student parties organized every week! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
Not really... it depends on what you are interested in. But BWZ (the Center for business studies of the University of Vienna) has lots of good teachers in the different fields of business. However, marketing courses there are generally NOT very "foreign students -friendly"...! Finance courses are very good!
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
No... just, try to understand the system, and check the list of courses before you have to select yours (the PISWI-system is efficient but courses are not very easy to find on the website). This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Great university! As an Erasmus student I was satisfied because altough the academic level is pretty good there, and the assistance to courses obligatory, I had enough time to enjoy this wonderful city! FINAL COMMENTS
