Academic
Course recommendations
Pick Seminars over Vorlesungen. And if you ever have the chance to take From Page to Stage or Visual Literacy und Comics - GO FOR IT! Those two courses were amazing.

Duddel, Asta, Derwisch, Rudolfplatz, Zülpicherstraße, Ehrenfeld, Kalk-post, Luxor, Tankstelle, etc. So many good places to chose from. Just stay up to date with all the events in the city. Also has a very strong LGBT scene!

It was the best year of my life. If I could, I'd do it all over again. Enjoy the Karneval! Enjoy the BBQs in Aachener Weiher and the amazing nightlife Köllefornia has to offer. You won't regret it.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
If I could find a room/apartment near campus, which is very hard in Köln, I would prefer that, because even though the location of on campus housing is pretty good, I just wish I had had better flatmates. Mine were terrible.
