HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? For the first year I was at the Residence Universitaire / Dorms. But after that I found my own place right in the middle of town. It couldn't have been better.
Personal comments:
Compared to the rest of Europe it was very affordable and accomidating This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Nightlife: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Activities, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
The old town (5eme arrondissement) is not to be missed and can reached on foot. Lyon is the capital of gastronomy and often over looked by other international cities such as Paris. I wouln't have traded Lyon for Paris anyday. You're two hours from the Cote D'Azur and two hours from Paris and fourty five minutes from Switzerland This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
nope In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
If you're looking to assimilate as much as possible into the French culture including language aquisition I highly recommend attending a university that is NOT in an international city such as Paris. This will allow you much more exposure into the culture and permit you to submerse yourself into the culture and a higher level. Lyon is a distant second largest city in France and yet just as cosmopolitan as Paris. FINAL COMMENTS
