As this experience is already 10 years old - I can only say that within the daily university environment, the literature classes with a genious teacher helped very much improve my language knowledge. But as I was also integrated into the local community because of my french boyfriend - it surely also improved because of this.

I wish I had known...
At the time I was only 19 years old - certainly I would probably act differently now 10 years later - would probably not only experience the paris night life, but also attend more cultural events, experience the french kitchen and so on.
