University didn't help at all to find accomodation. I had to look for myself which is a complete nightmare in Paris as there is a huge excess demand for single room appartements!

Academic
Course recommendations
Difficult, very different from the English university system as lecture theatres are overcrowded, teachers are unavailable to inquiries, local students rather not interested in helping out.

Final comments
Regarding accomodation: try to go as early as possible to Paris and maybe look out for an appartement shared with other people: it's cheaper and you'll have more fun.
