Go for it if you want to learn French, live in a wonderful city (Toulouse is great!) and travel. French people aren't opened and welcoming at the beginning, you have to have the patience to know them better. Administration is a nightmare, at least for non-EU citizens! Read Review

Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.

Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Finding accommodation on your own can be very difficult. On campus, your usually close to the university and it's very cheap.
Personal comments:
The rooms are very small (9m˛), but cheap as well. Fortunately, my room was in a new building, so everything was new!

ACADEMIC       1.5 / 5

Quality of courses
KEY:
Fantastic.
Pretty good.
Could've been a bit better.
Disappointing.
Variety of courses
Availability/access to resources
Interaction with teachers
Interaction with other international students
Interaction with local students
Course recommendations:
The method of teaching was old-fashioned. The teacher comes with a ppt, students have to copy what is written on the board & after that they have to learn the lecture. Original ideas aren't appreciated or reading books outside the recommended ones.

My opinion of the university assessment

Liked it.
It was alright.
A bit annoying.
Didn't like it.
Exams throughout the course
Essays and/or projects at the end of course.
Essays and/or projects throughout the course

Try to talk to the teacher every time you don't understand sth & read only the lectures presented in class!

I wish I had known...
I wish I had known more about French people and about their culture. It wasn't such a pleasant surprise to notice that they are very narrow-minded and not as welcoming as I had expected...
In my opinion:
I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.

During my experience abroad, I ...
Became familiar with another culture
