I spent more on telephone access because I had to buy phone cards every week when at home I use my cell phone, housing was paid in my program fee as was food. Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Travel, Nightlife, Overall: was the same price as at home. Food, Housing: was less expensive than at home.

There is a government sceme CAF which will aid students with there rent. Try to get in contact with people who are studying there who may be able to leave there furniture, appliances etc. If not there are plenty of second hand furniture stores normally situated outside of the town.
