very difficult to get any housing at all, even though they told you in avance that it was easy. I was only very lucky to get an appartment au centre ville!

It was difficult to interact with local students though they were uninteressed in us foreigners. But if you live in a country for one semester, you learn the language in one way or the other.

You'll have a lot of fun whatever you do, but if you're there to learn the language you can be disappointed if you're not actively searching for french students to talk to, you really have to make an effort if you want to meet french friends.

Yes, the deposit you have to pay for your housing, normally one rent in avance.. Cost-saving for the rent: apply for the CAF, then you get some money back, even though a year later
