Description:
In a region filled with history, Provence, the University of Aix-Marseille is located in two cities very close together, each with its own distinct personality. Both cities of Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, are within easy access of their surroundings, with a major network of highway, rail and airport links to Paris, the other regional capitals and abroad.

HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Because my priority was to save money on room and board to spend it on travelling and activities such as sports.
Personal comments:
They are old, the showers and bathrooms are shared. It is pretty clean but I've seen better in bigger university dorms. All in all, it was an experience where I had to laugh or I was going to cry! The neighbours were ethnic like me, so that was great and I made a lot of friends. So yes, if I had to do it again, I would. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Nightlife: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Activities, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Le Divino was a club outside of Aix that was pretty good. Then, there are good restaurants scattered a bit everywhere. The one I always went to: La Pizza. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
In France, if you go to University with a Business major as opposed to a Business School, you are missing out on a lot of the more practical aspects of the learning experience. there is very little group work, the teachers are very academic and the classes not very interactive. If I had to redo this school experience, I would have studied languages, or arts.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
They should improve their curriculum and make their classes more dynamic and less based on pure theory. As well, a lot of the teachers have a very snobby attitude, but I think that teaching in Europe is generally very different from North America. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Was learning French a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Personal comments:
