HOUSING
Personal assessment

KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Gives you the chance to live with other students and meet more people
Personal comments:
My friends had mixed feelings about the halls of residence. Some were good (Cedres) others were far away and not very quiet. Try one of the better ones or look for your own accomodation - there are always people looking for flatmates.

KEY:
Fantastic.
Pretty good.
Could've been a bit better.
Disappointing.
Variety of courses
Availability/access to resources
Interaction with teachers
Interaction with other international students
Interaction with local students
Course recommendations:
The course was quite a basic level and often taught in a patronising manner. It did however give a good grounding and there was a fun atmosphere/

My opinion of the university assessment
Exams at end of course
KEY:
Liked it.
It was alright.
A bit annoying.
Didn't like it.
Exams throughout the course
Essays and/or projects at the end of course.
Essays and/or projects throughout the course
Overall
Personal comments:
A course at the School for Modern French will not enable you to meet Swiss students. Try getting involved in at least one other course in another department.

No, it wasn't.
How much did you improve your French?
My level before: At ease in most situations
My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang)
Personal comments:
If you make an effort it will be appreciated - most Swiss appreciate that as a foreigner your language skills might not be perfect. Keep trying!
