HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Gives you the chance to live with other students and meet more people
Personal comments:
My friends had mixed feelings about the halls of residence. Some were good (Cedres) others were far away and not very quiet. Try one of the better ones or look for your own accomodation - there are always people looking for flatmates. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE

Activities: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Personal comments:
Le Bleu Lezard, Le Chateau are great and lively on all nights. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
The course was quite a basic level and often taught in a patronising manner. It did however give a good grounding and there was a fun atmosphere/
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
A course at the School for Modern French will not enable you to meet Swiss students. Try getting involved in at least one other course in another department. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: French
Was learning French a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. How much did you improve your French?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
If you make an effort it will be appreciated - most Swiss appreciate that as a foreigner your language skills might not be perfect. Keep trying! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Main source of funding:
Family Other sources of funding:
None Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
Switzerland has an image of being expensive - this is not always the case and some things are cheaper than England. This said, living costs were expensive in general. Food, Travel, Overall, Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Nightlife, Housing: was the same price as at home.
