Description:
Founded in 1537, the Lausanne Academy gained its status as a university en 1890. It is today one of the principal institutions of higher education in Switzerland. It comprises seven faculties: Theology, Law, Humanities, Social and Political Sciences (SSP), Economics and Business Administration (HEC), Science and Medicine.

In summer you need to explore the Lake Geneva region and the Tessin. In winter go skiing in the alpes. In emergency most people understand french, german and italien because these are the three languages of CH. English is more difficult to find (no joke!). Read Review

Why? It is very international there no matter where you are living. There are everywhere many international students you can meet.

Very expensive and slowly working because of Switzerland, but when it's finished, everyone is pleased.

If you are german: Be aware of joining to much the community of the many german students there, if you realy want to learn french. Try to contact swiss or french guys.

Personal spending habits:
Simply because Switzerland is an extremly expensive country beside phoning with cell phones. That is very moderate.
Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Telephone: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Save a lot of money by not using a standard phone but only cell phone covered by DiAx.

A wonderful Location at the banks of Lake Geneva with a wide variety of subjects to chose in University. L. is the youngest town of CH because of the many students, male and female.
